Can I use Skin Repair on my baby?

Skin loving products that don’t remove the natural oils from the skin that are necessary to build the  protective skin barrier. Skin Repair can act as a preventative for eczema, or dry skin conditions. Skin Repair products are free from colourants, fragrance, preservatives, silicones and mineral oils all of which can slow down the self-regenerating capability of the skin.

It  is incredibly important to treat babies’ skin with the utmost gentle care. They are fragile and vulnerable to so much more than a fully developed adult. Baby skin can be up to ten times thinner than adult skin and is damaged easily. Baby skin does not yet have the natural acid mantle either, which has yet to develop. The acid mantle is your skins first line of defence and protects from outside bacteria and invaders.

These differences make babies more vulnerable to conditions such as Eczema which is increasingly common in infants. It is important to use skin care as both protection and a preventative measure for their vulnerability.

No Emulsifiers

Emulsifiers are used in most modern skin care products. They combine fat and water substances into a cream preventing separation of oil and water. Unfortunately, they have a wash out affect in the skin, dissolving ingredients of creams along with the natural skin oils out of the skin. As you wash the face, more skin oils are being removed and will become drier with the skin barrier becoming impaired.
